The Generation Teach (GT) STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) Academy is a free 4- or 5-week summer academic acceleration program for middle-school students who attend partner schools.

WHY WE EXIST

The GT STEAM Academy is a summer program of GENERATION TEACH. In the 5-week GT STEAM Academy, students average 2 months of reading growth and 3 months of math growth on the Renaissance STAR assessments.

WHAT WE DO

The GT STEAM Academy (GTSA) introduces students to engineering and social justice, accelerates math and reading skills, and provides four electives, including art, dance, sports, and world languages. Free breakfast and lunched are served daily. Fun Fridays feature field trips, team competitions, and games.

WHO WE ARE

The GT STEAM Academy is led by CAREER EDUCATORS with over 40 years of experience with summer learning. Students are taught in small classes of 8-12 students by diverse undergraduate and high-school students. Professional teachers observe and coach the young teachers.
